The UEL Brass Compression Ring, often known as an olive or ferrule is fitted over a pipe which is to be joined using a compression fitting. The nut is tightened against the Compression Ring with enough torque to make a leak free joint. Over tightening will make the joint unusable. Manufactured to I.S EN 1254-2:1998.
